Dave Brinks
August 2005 & February - March 2006 Judge, InterBoard Poetry Competition

Dave Brinks’s poetic heart rests in the hands of gods like Anubis whose knowledge of the human soul’s journey through the land of the dead is equal to a feather. He is the editor of YAWP: A Magazine of the Arts and proprietor of The Gold Mine Saloon, a multidisplinary arts venue in the French Quarter of New Orleans, where he hosts the 17 Poets! weekly reading series. His collections of poetry include Trial And Eros, How Birds Fly, The Secret Brain, The Caveat Onus and The Light on Earth Street, as well as the recently published collaboration, The Treehouse Aquarium Cathedral Room (New Directions), with poet Bernadette Mayer (The Scarlet Tanager).
